Places to Paddle
From easy family paddles on the Cele to some more serious white water on the Allier, the Massif has some stunning rivers and scenery together with great food, wine and climate.
We are here to help with advice and kit to make it possible.
Cele
Easy and relaxed multiway paddling in the sunshine. The Cele offers a relaxed 3 day run with the option of a further day on the local Lot.
A great intro to canoe/camping
Whether paddling the upper stretches from Argentat department or the classic sections lower down, the Dordogne offers over 100 km of scenic paddling, great food, a drop or two of wine and a wealth of history.

Dordogne

Tarn
One of the best gorges in the Massif (in our opinion), Just stunning !
With 3 to 4 days of incredible scenery and a river ranging from G1 to 2 up to 3 on the Le Rosier section, the water whisks you around gravel bed curves with crystal clear pools and many hidden beaches.
Other notable options ….
The Allier - Described by Pete Knowles as “The Jewel in the Crown”, the Allier offers a more sporty paddle over multiple days including the G3+ Post d’Alleyras section. Only for experienced paddlers though.
The Veyere - Around 3 to 4 days of relaxed paddling in a similar vein to the Dordogne but on a more intimate river setting. Highly recommended.
